In this black comedy crime film, detective “Killer Joe” Cooper(McConaughey), is a hit man when he’s not doing police work. He’s hired by a desperate drug dealer(Hirsch) to kill his mother. She’s stolen his drug stash, leaving him owing money to people who will kill him if he doesn’t pay. The mother has a life insurance policy that would pay off his debts. Unfortunately, the only way he can “pay” Killer Joe is to offer up his sexy, virginal sister for him to have his way with.
